Frankie Fletcher RVN
I moved to Scotland from Bournemouth in 2007. Since moving here I have worked in a variety of veterinary practices around Ayrshire. My career began with work experience in a small local vets and eventually I graduated from Barony College in 2010 and went on to the Register of Veterinary Nurses in April 2011.
I started working at The Oaks in October 2014 and became Head Nurse in Jan 2017. I am also a clinical coach for our student Veterinary Nurses.
I particulary enjoy caring for inpatients and love to see animal's conditions improve after spending some time in the surgery.
In my spare time I like to care for my own animals at home and I particularly enjoy taking my dogs to the beach.
At home I have two dogs, two guinea pigs and two cats. Unsurprisingly they are the same pets as vet Jamie, my fiancé.
So to recap the dogs are elderly rescues, Pip the Jack Russell and Cookie the Patterdale Terrier.
The cats are Binx, who was hand reared from 1 week old, after her mother was shot accidently by a game keeper and Alice who was originally Jamie's cat.
Carrot loving Guinea Pigs (Obama Pig and Trump Pig) complete my furry family.
